Xu YiSheng
Xu Yisheng (b.1943)is
from Qishan, Shanxi province. He graduated from the Chinese
Traditional Painting Department, Central Arts and Crafts
Academy in 1981 and at the same year, he taught in the Chinese
Traditional Painting Department, Xi’an Arts and Crafts
Academy. In 1991, he taught in the Arts and Crafts Department,
Shanxi Teachers’ University. Now, he is the assistant
professor there.
Mr. Xu Yisheng’s
teachers are Shi Lu, He Haixia and Li Guoran. He is good at
landscape drawing, and has been teaching in the university for
many years. He has been invited to participate in various
painting and calligraphy activities held in and out of China,
and he was awarded many prizes. His works and dissertations
published have amounted to over a hundred.
He is a great
artist in the northwest area and an important member of the
second Chang’an Exhibition. He published eight kinds of
painting collection, including 600 works created his own.
Among his works,
the coming mountain breeze and the smoke from kitchen chimney
in the dusk is collected in the Collected Edition of
Chinese Arts and the British Museum.
In 1986, he held
Luo Ping’an Exhibition in Singapore, a year later, he held
personal exhibition in Taipei.
In 1988, he held
exhibition with Liu Wenxi in Cannada.
In 1991, he held
personal exhibition in London.
In 1995, he held Xu
Yisheng landscape painting in Shenzhen. And in 1988, he
released his Collection of Xu Yisheng’s Paintings. And
in 1994, he released Yanxi Collection.
In 1996, he
released Collection of Xu Yisheng’s Paintings.
