In 1999, Niu Hengze’s the Nostalgia of the North is selected and exhibited in the big painting and calligraphy exhibition “ Commemoration of the 2550th Birthday of Confucius, held by Chinese Artists’ Association, the Qufu municipal Party committee and Qufu government. At the same time, it is collected in the picture album.
In 2000, his works A Tree with Red Leaves and the Late Fall won a silver prize in the painting and calligraphy exhibition in order to celebrate the 51th anniversary of establishment of People Republic of China, held by Jilin province.
