Lu Yuanzhong
Lu Yuanzhong was born in Guilin,Guangxi Province in 1962. ln 1976 he learned drawing from Liu Mingzhao. ln 1980s he followed Ye Lumei, the well-known painter, to study landscape painting, and at the same time he was instructed by the painters Ye Xiangci and Tao Zhengde. le 1993 he started to work at Mr. Zhao Zhitian’s studio in the Beijing Art Academy. Now he a member of the Chinese Association of painters and Calligraphers, a member of the Guangxi branch of the Chinese Association of Artists, a member of the Guilin Association of Artists, a secretary of the Guilin Landscape painting Research lnstitute and the vice chairman of the Guilin Suburbs Association of Artists.
Lu Yuanzhong was brought up in Guilin where the mountains and waters are the finest under heaven. Later he went north to study and he got a chance to come into contact with various schools and styles of painting. He learned from others’s strong points and was in pursuit of the harmony of vigour and delicacy to make his own unique pure and fresh style.
His works have taken part many times in the national and international exhibitions and won awards. Some of his works have been collected by the people of Japan, the United States, Hong kong and Taiwan. Ln 1991 and 1994 he held exhibitions separately in Guilin and in the Capital Museum of Beijing, His experience and some excellent works ore included in The dictionary of chinese painters and calligraphers, An album of the Fine Works of the World Painters and Calligraphers and The Chinese Artists.
