Guangming Dong, a native of Hejian, Hebei, was born in Qingdao, Shandong. He used to successively work for Airline Art Troup and Bejing Theatre, engaging in the artistic design of the stage and drawing for more than 20 years. Since 1986, he has taught in Artistic Research Room of Branch College of the People's University of China, he is the chief of the office of calligraphy and painting, drawer of Painting and Calligraphy Center, Chinese Art Research, Member of Chinese Artists’ Association, member of Chinese Opera Association, member of Chinese Culture and Art Association Abroad, the visiting professor of Shenzhou University and the art advisor of Wu Daozi Painting and Calligraphy Academy( sage of Chinese painting), at the same time he is also the first-class artist. His works Chinese Rose was sent to Paris to participate in the Spring Saloon Painting Exhibition. In 1989, he drew a large piece of peony for the city gate tower of Ti’an men. In 1994, he held a personal exhibition in Singapore. In 2000, his works Redolent Fairyland was awarded an excellent prize in the Yaheng Cup National Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition. In 2001, his works The Beauty of Bamboo was shown in the National Excellent Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition.
