Chen Yupu
He was born in Licheng, Shandong province in 1946.Later,Mr. Hei Bolong and Chen Weixin took young Chen Yupu as their first student. Chen studied Chinese traditional painting with Mr.Huang Dufeng, who is a famous painter in southern China and his tutor in Guangxi Art College in which he graduated from. Chen specializes in mountains, waters ,flowers and birds with sometimes simple drawing of people.
Influenced by Chinese Laozi and Zhuangzi philosophy and Buddhism, his simple art concept takes naturalness as important, but not artificial addition. Chen works as an educationalist of arts for a long time. Later or early, he taught in Qufu Normal College in Shandong province, Guangxi College of Art, Guangxi Normal University. Chen now is professor in the Oriental Art Department in Nankai Normal University, tutor of masters, member of China Artists Association.
He has published 3 Collections of Chen Yupu, an Ink Panting Collection of Chen Yupu, a Mountains-and-Waters Panting Collection of Chen Yupu, Brushwork of Mountains-and-Waters Painting、4 Artists of Chinese Traditional Painting of Freehand Brushwork. His works were selected into Collection of Contemporary Mountains-and-Waters Panting and the Full Collection of Contemporary Arts.
